In September 2017 we had the opportunity to meet our dear friends John & Gloria in London to tour the city for four days before hopping over to Ireland. I created this blog site to archive our photographs in high resolution not only for ourselves but for family and friends who might want to view or download them. Each heading is a link to images taken on each of the four days we spent in London and by clicking on the images you can enlarge and scroll through them. Day 1
The following pictures were taken in London on Sunday, 3 September 2017. After a long flight from Chicago to Dublin, and then Dublin to London, we were a bit tired but needed to stretch our legs. We had no sleep on the plane. Our hotel was the Hilton DoubleTree at 150 Bayswater near the northwest corner of Kensington Gardens so we decided to stroll through the west end of the park. Day 2
These pictures were taken in London on Monday, 4 September 2017. We toured the city of Westminster and London on a “Hop-on, Hop-off” Bus which included a cruise up the Thames River. At the end of the day we explored the city as pedestrians and took a Uber back to our hotel. I loaded these images in chronological order and for some inexplicable reason they got jumbled. The most that can be said is they were all taken the same day. I should also mention that these are high resolution images so it may take a few seconds for the images to come into complete focus.

Day 3
These photographs were taken in London on Tuesday, 5 September 2017. On this day, we caught the bus at our hotel and rode to the east end of Hyde Park from which place we walked to Carnaby Street. We ate breakfast at the Breakfast Club. Then Rosemary & Gloria went shopping while John & I made our way to his old school — the University College of London. We stopped at the Green Man Pub for a couple of pints on the way back to our hotel.

Day 4
These photographs were taken in London on Wednesday, 6 September 2017. On this day, after breakfast, we took a Uber to the area near Buckingham Palace and watched the inspection and changing of the palace guards. After that, we walked to Harrods Department Store and then went to a Lebanese Restaurant for lunch. On our way back to the hotel in the late afternoon, Rosemary & I toured the Victoria & Albert Museum & then passed through Hyde Park. We had dinner with John & Gloria who had arranged to meet up with John’s college chum, Alex. We met up at the Warwick Castle Pub and then walked through Little Venice to the Pearl Liang Restaurant.
